Pilla Vijaya kumaraswamy Reddy
Pilla Vijaya kumaraswamy Reddy, who writes under the pen names of Pilla Vijay and Pilla Kumaraswamy, was born on 8.7.1964(in school records as 5-2-1964) in Saraswathipuram, Rajampeta Mandal of YSR Kadapa district. His parents are Pilla Ramalakshmi and Pilla Lakshmireddy. His mother died when he was ten years old. His father Pilla Lakshmireddy completed his studies in Telugu and retired as a Telugu scholar. But he was passed away in 1979 after retirement when Kumaraswamy was fifteen years old.
He was educated under the care of his elder brother Pilla Dasaratharami reddy a Telugu scholar. He completed his high school education in 1979 from Municipal High School,Gandhinagar, Kadapa and Inter at Government Junior College, Kadapa. He then completed his graduation in B.A. from SV Degree college, Kadapa. After graduation Completed his post graduation M.Sc (Mathematics) at SV University,Tirupati in 1986.
He joined Life Insurance Company in 1986 as an Assistant At Gudur and came to Kadapa on transfer after working in Gudur (Nellore District). In he was married to 1988, Gangavaram am Lakshmidevi in Kadapa. In 1990 they had a daughter, Sarath Jyotsna. He was later promoted as a Development Officer and transferred from Kadapa to Kadiri in December 1990. On the one hand he held a job and on the other hand he joined the demographic platform of his interest and campaigned in the villages against many superstitions. Participated in many literary and cultural activities as part of the All India complete Literacy Movement and mobilized the people in the villages. On that occasion, Balotsav and Science Fair were organized for the students to create interest in science among the students. Organized a folklore agitation to read books. A library was set up at Kavulepalli near Kadiri with the help of volunteers and books were also made available. In 1995 they had a son And named him, Yashwant.
Shortly afterwards a number of programs were organized in conjunction with trade unions on labor issues. He mobilized the workers and led the struggles against the privatization of ElectricityBoard and the privatization of Anganwadi centres. Kumara Swamy, who was moved by the plight of the beedi workers, repeatedly raised concerns over their problems. In 2015, the 'Kadiri Development Forum' was set up and various programs on Kadiri development were organized.
His role changed from 2002 when he built his own house in Anantapur and moved there. He developed a passion for the field of literature and became a literary activist. His life background and studies contributed to his literary work. After the establishment of the Sahiti Sravanti, a literary organization in Anantapur, he used to organize various programs and meetings. Gathering newcomers, struggling to preserve old ones, and engaging student youth in literary endeavors with the help of literary legends.
Against the backdrop of the proliferation of literary institutions in Anantapur district and the domination of writers, Kumaraswamy mobilized the masses in his own way and organized public literature programs. He has been organizing an event in Anantapur every month like sahitee samayam,varthamana sahitee tarangaalu etc.,
Sahiti Sravanti has been operated in Anantapur, the home of the renowned writers and critics, for over sixteen years due to this kind of effort. Kumaraswamy has a uniqueness that some or other friends do not have. That is, he continuously writtes his essay very diligently, reading and responding to what others have written, and writing reviews. He also takes his writings as books.
An article entitled " Poetry Against Globalization" was published as a book in 2005. It was unveiled by Telakapalli Ravi at a literary event held under the auspices of Sahitya Sravanti in Vijayawada. In 2015
Published poetry by Infinite Poets under the title 'Anantha Kavitha swaralu '. It was co-edited with Mallela Garu. In 2016, he wrote and published the book 'Anantha Sahitya Samalochana'. In 2015, he wrote and published the book 'May day,Workers' Initiation Day'. It was unveiled on 'May' day at Anantapur CITU conference by former CPM party secretary com. Obulu . In 2017, the book 'Modern telugu Literature and its Evolution, Rayalaseema Modern Literature and its Evolution' was also published recently. It was unveiled by Rachapalem and Singamaneni Garu in Anantapur. In 2018 he published a collection of poems titled 'Mattipogu' and in 2019 he published the books 'Lenin Biography' and 'Shukasaptati Kathalu'. The 'Lenin Biography' was Inaugurated by com.Ramboopal.
'Shukasaptati' stories were unveiled by Venkataramireddy and Nandavaram Keshavareddy in Kadiri. The poetry 'Mattipogu' was written by Kumaraswamy, dedicated to his brother late Pilla Dasaratha Ramireddy and sister in law Pilla Nirmala Devi.
In 2017,he organized a large-scale program on Vemana literature in the town of Anantapur involving 250 literary societies at the state level. He was honoured for reading his poem in the World Telugu Congress held in 2017 at Hyderabad. He was honoured with the Gurajada Award by the Gurajada Foundation also.
Kumaraswamy has a clear philosophical ideology.He is a theoretical author with a specific worldview. His worldly view is specific. Under the influence of Singamaneni Narayana, Rajapalem Chandrasekharreddy and Telakapalli Ravi, he could expand his worldly view. Yet there are some People who think that writers shouldn't follow any type of theories and write accordingly. What they need to realize is that they have theories. First of all doctrine haters after reading this type of writings, should give up and declare their Clear ideology . Literature, arises from life. There is no life without theory. Hence the literature itself is not theoretical.
Kumaraswamy is a modern literary critic. He received modern ideology. Along with that he has worldly wisdom also. That is why he stands as a bridge between the author and the people, authoritatively criticizing modern literature.
He says that it was all possible for his life partner Mrs. Pilla Lakshmidevi to pursue his literary studies as a hobby.He has two children, a daughter Sarath Jyotsna and a son Yashwant. Sarath Jyotsna completed her graduation in B.Tech from Osmania University and post graduation in MBA from Visweswaraiah technological University.She is currently in charge of Management at a leading company in Hyderabad. She got married to Doddavula Sudhir Reddy in October 2017 at Kadiri. Yashwant completed his graduation in B.Tech from Visweswaraiah technological University. He is working presently in a leading private company in Hyderabad as a Sr.interior designer.
